"Construction used to be a localised activity, but with the advancement of construction processes and construction materials almost every building contains components of a globalized economy." This collage of pictures presents newly built office building in Poznan, called "Baltik Tower". Now building is fully complited and photos present level of works for spring 2016. As was said in presentataion, in the old days we would not be able to build such structure using only local materials and local workforce. Structure caused that very complited works were needed and materials had to be specialy prepeard. In this particular example we can perfectly see compontents of globalized economy as: 1. General contractor - "Porr Polska" polsich branch of worldwide known Porr Constructions located in Austria what resulted in cooperation with foreign engineers. 2. Scafoldings made by "ULMA constructions". Another worldwide known company. Two big bended beams on the bottom of structure resulted in need of project special scafolding with best ULMA engineers. 3. Special requirements for concreat in some parts of the construction which resulted in usage of ingridients all around the Poland and even Europe by subcontractor. 4. Employment of engineers, sub-contractors, and skilled workers from all around the Poland and other close coutries as Ukraine or Germany.
