This photo is taken in one of the construction sites of the office where I work. Our office and also common in Canada, is very supportive of the Canadian wood industry and very aware of the importance of sourcing local wood. The origin of the wood is followed very thoroughly and very important for the wood to be certified from a source that follows the standards and assures the proper harvesting of the forest. All that is important, but as you can see in the photo, the wood is protected with Tyvek, by DuPont. DuPont is one of the largest chemical companies in the world, and funny enough it started as a gunpowder mill. The manufacturing sites are in USA, so, yes it is pretty hard no finding any product of a global economy in a building.
