In the city of Monterrey the most important stocks and flows regards to natural resources and its industrial commerce. For instance the extraction of raw material from the hills of the area to manufacture concrete, the casting of material from mines for the creation of multiple steel products and its commercial flow to different areas of the country. In this sense, the picture show us the synergy between the existing natural environment or in "stock" and the final product, the construction with concrete. Although the process between these two stages is notorious, it is understood that from the process of the extraction of the raw material of portland cement to the construction of the apartment building, it was manipulated, transported, produced, sold and converted in concrete by different ways or "flows". In this regard, the data and modeling of this stocks and flows are crucial for a sustainable process that demostrates the amount of natural resources used to this year and the relation to the urban sprawl or urban developing. Alerting the competent authorities to implement public policies that ensure a sustainable management of local resources related to a better urban planning.
