This photograph is of the busiest Vegetable Markets in Thane city, Maharashtra,India which is located near Talao Pali. The vegetable market has a loading and unloading area abutting the main Street ,where a garbage trucks comes at afternoon 12 for collecting the garbage .The same place is also used for unloading the vegetables ,which is very unhygienic ,due to lack of disposal facilities and loading unloading infrastructure .Also ,in the photo you can see the bikes parked inside the market dur lack of parking facility ,thereby reducing the vegetable seller KIOSK and the trafficking the pathways of the market. The STOCKS and FLOWS of the above area can be documented as follows. Step 1 & 2 Identifying and Description STOCKS- The vegetable seller Booth(Stall/KIOSK) for storing and supplying the veggies and fruits ,The trees which provide the shade to the market and the pathways inside the market ,The surrounding infrastructure like the Electrical supply for the kiosk, the surrounding buildings . FLOWS-The incoming consumers which are the nearby citizens, the trucks which are going to load and unload the vegetable from the Main Vegetable Market in VASHI to the local vegetable markets in THANE, the veggies and the fruits which get restocked after they are over. Step 3 Future Impact The STOCKS and FLOWS will evolve over a period of time. With better availability of funds for infrastructure the STOCKS will evolve from a plastic shade into a permanent farmers market and better loading and unloading facilities for the market .There will also be good parking facilities which will increase the density of FLOW of visitors for purchasing veggies, fruits and a free up more space for the vegetable sellers , increasing the FLOW of money of sellers collected from the sell of veggies, fruits.
