1-What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? Use www.iea.org/sankey to discover it (Hint: e aware of the flow of the energy in the Sankey diagram. Sometimes a part of the production of energy goes to the export of a country. Exported energy won't be consumed by your country itself). The dominant fossil fuel in my country is oil, which most of it goes to export. 2-Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? (e.g. transport, industry, non-energy use etc.) The remaining oil production is used mostly for transportation and industry according to the sankey diagram from the International Energy Agency, as for the gas production, the 2nd most dominant fossil fuel, is mostly used for industry. 3-It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. The production of energy in my country is really deficient, we depend mainly of just one hydroelectric central which is not correctly working due to lack of maintenance. I think we need to give more importance to the production of energy and expand it while thinking about better environmental friendly and efficient ways to do it. Since this country has a hot climate I think we could take that in advantage and benefit from solar energy using solar panels. Also to be more eco-friendly we should improve the energy ways of comsumption, for example promoting public transportation and walkable cities, use of light materials for buildings and vegetation to reduce the use of energy for cooling, among others.
