FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

*Photo was not taken by myself* This picture is taken of The Melbourne Library, it is located on the outskirts of the Central Business District in the heart of Melbourne. As we know the Library itself is a form of Information Architecture as it is a building for the storage of data. But what drew me to this location in the city is the nature of the garden space out front. In a busy city, just outside of this frame in both directions lies the sidewalks carrying people from location A to B. So for this open space to provide a slice of natural calm makes it stand out. The invisible information can be seen here if you were to look at individuals movement in the city and where they chose to stop for extended periods of time. These people sitting down and ling here can all be tracked on photos they upload, status's they post and there phones gps. Understanding the attraction of having an open space in the city for people to sit and relax is different from normality but is something valuable for livable cities to have.
