Invisible information: ---------------------- (1) The hope of the people that live there: the people that have moved from the countryside or from smaller towns in quest of more opportunities and a better life. This hope is sustained by the bright and attractive image of the big city as a center of life and opportunity. (2) The tolerance of the big city people toward the shantytown and the peaceful cohabitation. Compare for example with ongoing talks in France about the "Jungle of Calais".
