1. People from various ethnic background - > mixed society ? Modern architecture on the left and footbridge - > Rich city enough to allow for onerous architecture Lighting system qnd traffic light system -> Regulated, security at night Bus stops qnd double deck busses -> Public transport has an important role Road and car -> Car and road seem to be the primary transport system (no bikes or tram can be seen) One guy carying his bag on the front and baby on the back (family)-> inform us on the way families are part of the society (the man in carying the baby, not the woman, they give hands to each other, would not happen in other countries) Trees -> Nature is present but with a limited role, no grass Car park on the right -> Importance of the car Clear weather -> does not seem to be too much polluted Footpath -> Infrastructure are developped for pedestrian as well Clean -> not a lot of garbage, presence of a bin 2. The large building on the left is a shopping centre, wich can eventually be deducted from the fact that there are no windows. So one of the invisible information that can be studied throughout this picture is how the people come to the shopping centre (public transport, private transport, etc… The other type of information can be about the society itself, origins, social types (families, age, etc..) much more mixed in Birmingham than in the small cities around, where I leave. 3. People of different origins or different social groups (families) may have different expectations towards city planning. How to make sure the city is answering the expcatations of everybody ? For sure it swould be good to have the knowledge of who is "utilizing the city". This is an important information to plan the city
