According to the Sankey diagram, the United States mainly relies on gas production. The greatest use is for transportation. This is unsurprising since American's are known for larger vehicles and less of a reliance on more efficient public transportation as compared to other countries. Significant efforts should continue to aim to reduce individual consumption in the transportation sector as more and more green technologies are developed.
