Comment: I prefer route 1, for a number of reasons: less mode changes, a good distance walked, it is also a walking through two very nice areas, similar travel time with route 2. Route 2 involves one extra public transport mode change and unpredictable waiting times in stations; also, extra costs (one extra ticket), as subway and bus systems are independent in Bucharest. The bus trip might be replaced with walking, but it is a very unpleasant area for walking.
