Step 1: Genève (Switzerland); Porto (Portugal); Lisboa (Portugal); Salamanca (Spain); Viseu (Portugal). (cities I already visited) Step 2: public security/stability; economic opportunities; quality of natural environment; quality of socio-cultural conditions; government and politics. Step 3: Oporto is a good city to live in. It’s safe walking on the street and the robbery ratio is very low. In relation to economics and being a big city, the job opportunities are higher, particularly for jobs requiring higher education. The cultural offerings are also bigger and very good. Politically, the city also works fine. The weakest points are related to many stock and flows that influence the quality of the natural environment. People stock and flows are immense. This results on a great number of cars on the streets, polluting and creating noise. Being very dense and having hot summers, the number of air conditional systems is increasing, contributing for more noise and heat. One way to reduce some of these problems can be to design new roads that allow the dispersion of cars, extend the subway lines and buses stops in order to make people use them more often, concentrating the air conditioning in one central spot, use more electric vehicles, etc.
