I chose this picture because it demonstrates a different construction approach that can be achieved in our country, this is not actually taken in my local town, but yes in a field trip that I assist in Bocas del Toro. This is a house completely made by plastic bottles found as trash in the beaches from Bocas del toro, actually is a town made of plastic bottles. The designer of this house community was concerned about the pollution of water bottles in the sea and beaches and how it can affect the biodiversity, so he came up with the idea of picking up all these bottles to use it for construction, which was a nice idea, because is environmentally friendly, is resilient and low cost. This house in an example that prove that we can actually build amazing things using environmentally friendly objects, having many advantages rather than using just steel and cement.
