THIS IS NOT MY PHOTO The three main stocks and flow in a town or city are Water, materials, and people. In most cities water is a stock because it is always there for use when it is needed however in some cities the rivers can dry up or lose their volume during hotter parts of the year then it can be described as a flow. Materials can also be a stock and a flow for example wood can be used to build houses however it has the risk of catching fire, therefore different newer materials are used which would in turn wood into a flow. People can be a stock and a flow. If there is a group of people that have lived in the same city for many years it is a stock of people, however as more people enter the city and leave or die in the city, people become a flow. The change in these stocks and flows could impact towns and cities greatly for example more people could come and go from the city and less people would stay in one place for a long time.
