Dhaka, the city I am from is one of the densest cities in the world with hardly enough well-designed public spaces for its citizen. So, citizens here develop their own version of such spaces in community level. As we have scarcity of open spaces so such spaces are mostly corner tea shop or less used roads in a community. My app adDHAKAna is to locate these community-based hangout spaces where people can contribute by marking them. So, we generate a crowdsourced map of probable locations preferred by citizens. Then we Urban planners, can figure out why such places are preferred and launch projects to create a network of public spaces in micro level. We can invite the citizens to participate and design these spaces and start on responsive design model at a small scale.
