Basically I live in Chennai, which is nearby Auroville, Pondicherry. This picture is a cafeteria at Auroville. As in Chennai, the electricity is supplied by power plants and is distributed to residences, industries and commercial areas. But, in Auroville, the electricity infrastructure was completely dependent on solar panels, which was more resilient and sustainable. The street networks and landscapes were perfectly designed which reduces the Co2 emission at a large scale.
