The included photo taken in Osaka, Japan highlights the sometimes unnecessary yet certainly appealing use of electricity that can be seen elsewhere in places like Times Square NYC. This use for advertising and entertainment shapes a city and the ways in which people interact with their surroundings. This much of a commitment to colorful displays certainly plays a role in the creation of their infrastructure.
