The Emoticongraph is a simple app, that offers citizens the possibility to express their joy or frustration over a specific location via a camera app and two emoticons. Location is registered automatically. At the back end, NGOs or the city administration can visualize the entire map. The system generates dynamic inforgraphs overlayed with the city map, automatically interlacing and representing the moods towards a street, neighborhood, location based on the number and interval of received emoticons. The system generates a clear overview of areas that need attention and intervention. The app deliberately does not ask for details and explanations. It works as a sensitive indicator - sensor for feelings towards the city.
