1. The dominant fossil fuels used in India were Coal (388.6 Mtoe) & Oil (266.5 Mtoe) 2. These dominant fossil fuels were mainly used in Industrial & Transportation sectors. 3. Promoting the usage of renewable energy sources such as Solar, Hydro & Wind energy. Reducing the usage of combustible fossil fuels such as coal and replacing the coal generated energy supply from other sources such as hydro & nuclear energy Planning for self-sustaining and eco-sensitive neighbourhood models Installations of solar panels in not just residences but also industries and educational buildings with larger footprints. Rainwater harvesting system to be incorporated in different neighbourhoods in cities Increased use of bio fuels and recycling of waste. Plan for efficient system of public transport to reduce the use of private vehicles For improving environmental conditions and sustainable resources mainly conservation of environment is important. Tree plantation and conservation is essential.
