1. The photograph attached to this assignment is from "এক লাখ টাকার বাড়ি" (A home of one lakh taka) project by BRAC and Architect Hasibul Kabir. It was designed through participatory design method and the inhabitants were part of the design process. 2. The local government can conduct a survey or implement an SOS button app with GPS phones to locate the problem points causing this feeling of insecurity. Some public installations or interaction spaces can be designed and set up with proper lighting in those points to mitigate the problem. We can also ask for what functions are needed to enhance the living of that place and those can be integrated with the space. 3. We need to know about building guidelines, laws and local culture. Then we can ask for public opinions and demands and align them with codes and laws to build a citizen design science based design project.
