Water infrastructure is the oldest form of centralized service in city design. Every city has started its growth with availability of water as the starting point and alive cities are still there because they keep on being available. But ill management of this infrastructure can make the very thing a curse. For example- In Dhaka the old town and the Mirpur region are victim to water clogging due to poor drainage design. But at the same time the habitats there suffer from crisis of pure drinking water. This contradictory picture shows that even though a form of urban planning has become integrated with infrastructure technologies available, architecture is yet to come to a proper sync. We need to think every design on the basis of "Architecture-Infrastructure Assemblage". This concept of design is not a fancy research topic, but a very dire need for people living in cities where it is hard to salvage infrastructure from the starting point.
