We are in the Venezuelan lowlands, where constructions are usually made of Bahareque, a mixture of woven cane sticks with a mud cover. The photo we see is of the monument to the Divina Pastora, inaugurated in 2016. As we can see it was built making great use of concrete and steel to give shape to the idea it had, besides that getting concrete in Venezuela nowadays is complicated work. Here we highlight the globalisation of the use of new materials over and above those used in the region, even taking into account the difficulties it may present, seeking better finishes and a longer life cycle for the construction.
