Greetings! I am Sahit from Vijayawada, AndhraPradesh (India). Amaravati,Vijayawada, India. 1.The prominent ecosystem services in and around my area were of provisional ecosystem services. 2. Examples for each of 4 types of ecosystem services : Provisioning services : Food & Fiber, Fresh water, genetic resources Regulating services : Regulation of climate, water, some regional diseases. Supporting services : Biomass production, Production of atmospheric oxygen, Soil formation and Retention, Water cycling, and provisioning of habitat. Cultural services : knowledge systems, Social relations, Aesthetic values, Spiritual enrichment centers. 3. As the city was on banks of fresh water rivers, the provisioning services were abundant in the area. All the 4 ecosystem services were available only in rural areas in my observation as urban areas in present unplanned scenario were not getting any ecosystem services such as regulating category.
