From home I have 5-7 minutes to the regional Train/Tram/Bus Station. The selection is quite straightforward, as the train is by far the fastest to the center of Zürich Mainstation. From the Mainstation I could theoretically take a tram up to th eBahnhofstrasse, but it's a very short drive, just 1-2 Stations. That's the reason why I usually if I not exactly get the tram, just walk. Now during Covid or depending on weather conditions I also use the Car 30% of the time. Depending on traffic it takes may 10 min longer as by train, and the parking spot is relatively expensive, but it's more convenient. It's definitively not required and just nice-to-have
