My top-5 liveability criteria are: infrastructure, safety, education, environment and culture. I live in Curitiba, Brazil. The reason I moved in was mostly due to education, since the city has a lot of good universities. It is also known for its good public transportation system (although I don't think this is true in comparision to more developed countries). There are a lot of parks and people really use them (picture). Since it is a big city, the offer of art expositions, movies, restaurants and other cultural/recreation possibilities is good. I would say 75. The infrastructure in general is very good. My university is easily reachable by several bus lines that pass nearby my house and I can walk to work. There is a bike lane passing by my street and a park about 10 minutes walking distance. But at night it is not safe and the streets around have no life, there are not many restaurants, coffe shops, etc. For the city of Curitiba, my score is 80. I would revitalize the center of the city. It has a become a poor and unsafe place, crowded with cars and that most people avoid. Paris for the culture, Copenhagen.
