Greetings! I am Sahit from India. As I couldn't find latest report regarding India from thh given link, I choose to study about Iceland. Country : Iceland 1. Population: 322,000 ; Area of 103,000square kilometers. Iceland is situated just south of the Arctic Circle. The average monthly temperature varies from -3 to +3 °C in January and from +8 to +15°C in July. Iceland has access to rich marine resources in the country’s 758,000-km2exclusive economic zone. The largest industries in Iceland are power-intensive primary industries which produce exclusively for export. 2. A long-term vision was set forth for the reduction of net emissions of greenhouse gases by 50-75% until the year 2050, using 1990 as a base year. 3. A Climate Change Action Plan was endorsed by the government in 2010.The share of organic waste destined for landfills shall have been reduced to50% of total waste in 2013 and 35% in 2020, with 2005 as a reference year. The objective for 2013 had been surpassed in 2009. 4. As per the information based on the reports, the targets and approaches to environmental issues in Iceland looks feasible and appropriate. Some of the short term targets were achieved in advance also.
