The electricity in Singapore is supplied by power plants and distributed to homes offices and industries island wide using underground distribution systems.The power plants generate electricity by combustion of fossil fuel and is distributed to the Nation power grid which is owned and operated by SP group. This electricity from the substations are distributed to the consumers using underground systems. In Singapore 95% of electricity is produced using natural gas the remaining is produced by coal, oil, municipal waste, and solar.
