1. I could not access the map of US to check the temperature differences. It came up as an error. 2. Some of the main UHI effects that I identified is: Not a lot of trees to provide shade, buildings are not close together, large carbon footprint (vehicles, AC units). 3. Plant more trees, put buildings close together, reduce use of ACs and vehicles. 4. Our city has funded a $30 million green streets project that includes funding for UHI mitigation measures.
