Three examples of Stock and flow for Dhaka,Bangladesh are People,Food,Water People: People is the most important stock and flow for my City. As I live in the capital of a highly populated country it is common for people to travel to my city for all sorts of activities, starting for job hunting to education or healthcare. But this has both adverse and positive effect. It keeps our economy running but also creates immense pressure on our city’s infrastructure. Food: A most of our farmland are outside our city or distributed throughout our country so food and grain grown needs to be transported to the cities. Which adds up to the CO2 emission. Besides due to presence of middleman in the process the farmers loses a fair share of the profit and the consumers suffers too. Water: Being a riverine country and living in a city surrounded by river in three sides, Water is one of the most important stock and flow. Sometimes as a blessing and sometimes as the curse of waterlogging, water is a part of our everyday life.
