Greetings ! I am Sahit from AndhraPradesh, India. Country: India 1. The dominant fossil fuels used in India were Coal (388.6 Mtoe) & Oil (266.5 Mtoe). 2. These dominant fossil fuels were mainly used in Industrial & Transportation sectors. 3. New policy a) Promoting the usage of renewable energy sources such as Solar & Wind energy. b) Reducing the usage of fossil fuels such as coal and replacing the coal generated energy supply from other sources such as hydro & nuclear energy in a phased manner after a feasibility study. c) Reducing the energy demand of residential sector by following local climate oriented architecture, urban geometry, energy saving building materials usage etc. d) A mandatory usage of solar energy in residential buildings for at-least minimal usage through it, like for corridor lighting etc. e) As India was already using bio-fuels & waste for energy production in a considerable amount, continuing and improving this concept. f) Acknowledging the innovative sustainable practices initiated/followed by any state or organization for inspiring others to do so.
