FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2020-08-17 by Daniela García
My name is Daniela García, and the photo I have uploaded is taken from my home, inside my residence in San Diego, Carabobo state, looking south. Among the visible information that can be observed we have: The remarkable presence of green areas, a mountain in the background that covers the entire city, an uninterrupted view of the sky thanks to the low scale of the buildings in the area, which is mostly residential, the construction materials of these buildings, and the closed road of the complex, whose only exit is at the bottom of the photo. On the other hand, among the invisible information that this photo provides, we find: Being a mostly residential area, we see a less crowded, quiet and safe area; and the opportunity for planning and landscaping consistent with this fact. In that order of ideas, knowing where we are and what surrounds us, we can intuit the use that citizens give to the area and the kind of programs that future proposals should have on the site, in addition to a sustainable vision of the space that can last over time, ensuring the creation of a more livable urban space.
