Mobility in Caracas is inefficient and affects my happiness and mood in a negative way. This is because the public transport service is slow and uncomfortable. An evidence of this is the route I take to get from my house to the university and back, which takes a total time of up to 4 hours per day. Trip from Home to University: It is the most satisfying. My family brings me closer to the bus stop. Once there I have to wait on my feet for 30min to 1 hour. However, when the university bus arrives I am seated and comfortable on a direct 50-minute trip. Trip from University to Home: It is the most uncomfortable due to the long waiting times and the conditions of the trip. The most uncomfortable section is taking the metro, which is slow and hot due to lack of maintenance and is crowded with people. Also, after taking the subway, I have to wait for another bus that brings me closer to my house. Definitely improving mobility in Caracas would be a great relief for Venezuelans.
