I have uploaded a plaza building which is in Lahore Pakistan.As you can see different materials are used in the construction of this plaza.The glass facade material used in the plaza is being imported from different areas of the world.The material cement is produced locally which is used in this buildings.Silver aluminum panels used on the facade are also imported.Making it a bit globalized. In past construction used to be a localized activity, building were constructed by using local materials that were available in the local region. Making it more sustainable with less effort and energy. Saving labor,assembling,transportation and energy cost.This building shows that with the advancement of technology we are using different materials which are from different parts of the world making the construction process globalized.But with the advancement of construction processes and construction materials almost every building contains components of a globalized economy. Now in the 21st century if you analyse any building you can see that the materials used in the construction of the buildings are so diverse that material are being imported from different regions of the world. Which makes the whole construction and building process expensive and high energy consumption.
