India is one of the fastest growing nations in the world and is also a leading producer and trader of construction material. There are very less materials which are not being produced within the sub-continent but one particular material in the photograph is comparatively new. ACP (Aluminum Composite Plastic) paneling and its application on building facades has scaled up drastically in the last decade. This material was originally imported from China and was only being used in the metropolitan cities but with time, it is in common application in almost every town. ACP was and is a cheap and durable material, less maintenance was required and looked modern to the eye. These features escalated its use and now there are numerous local brands manufacturing ACP panels within the country.
