I chose this picture because it is a street that is part of the commercial hub of the city of Santa Maria, in Rio Grande do Sul state of Brazil. In view of the material presented in previous lessons, I could see as visible information of this place, the intense flow of people in view of the trade that is there. The heavy flow of private vehicles and buses just making the place has a visual and sound pollution very unpleasant. In view of this information, how to requalify this place and make it more livable is to create green and recreational areas, as parklets or pocket park, creating a new use to place and improving urban areas.
