There are several modes of public transportation all concentrated in this area such as the tramway line, buses, taxis and ferry stations on both sides of the road.Pedestrians seen waiting at bus stops, tram station and junction. Area has several hotels, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, retail outlets, bank, office and residential buildings. Galata Tower can be seen in this picture which is a popular tourist site. Invisible Information: The demographics of travelers – what mode of transportation they take, who they are, what age group, whether they travel alone or groups and at what times of day and week. Travel purpose can be deduced by observing the relationship between trips, activities and locations.Travel distances can also be looked at to see how far people travel to come to this area and how many modes of transportation they change along the way. By studying the demographics of people moving through this area, the frequency of buses, or ferry departure/arrival timings can be increased to move larger number of people in/out. Incentives given to reduce the number of private cars on roads.More space can be allotted for safe pedestrian crossing and waiting areas. Area well connected but needs more safety/security
