This picture is taken looking at the Kemeralti Road with vehicular traffic moving away from the Galata Bridge. There are several modes of public transportation all concentrated in this area such as the tramway line, buses, taxis and ferry stations on both sides of the road. Pedestrians can be seen waiting at bus stops and tram station as well as waiting at the junction to get to the tram station, industrial zone or ferry stations on the other side of the road. This area has several hotels, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, retail outlets and bank and office buildings. In addition to commercial and hospitality uses, there are many residential buildings and community facilities. Galata Tower can be seen in this picture which is a popular tourist site. This area on the whole, is frequently visited by locals, tourists.
