1.2. The dominant fossil fuels produced in Qatar are oil and gas productions where large quantities are exported. Some of the refined oil is exported as well and some of it is used mainly in transportation. Most of the gas production is exported and the rest of it is consumed by chemical/petrochemical industries. 3. Solar power is the most convenient form of renewable energy that Qatar can have. Moving some of electricity generation from natural gas to solar power will have a huge impact on the environment. Proposing of electric and hybrid vehicles and develop the infrastructure needed to support this change. Setting strict environmental requirements for the design, construction and operations and promote "Green Building". Taking measures to guide the consumption of energy and water by the people as water in Qatar comes from the energy-intensive process of desalination. Imposing energy tax to firms and consumers to inflowens their consumption behaviour to become more efficient energy users and decrease the excessive use.
