Per the provided report "Stocks and Flows," stocks are quantities that do not move, whereas flows are quantities that move. In the the Greater Los Angeles region, there are many excellent examples to pull from. With regards to stock, three static systems stick out the most: 1) the extensive highway and freeway system, 2) amusement parks and entertainment centers, and 3) the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. When one considers the regions flow, the top three are the: 1) tourists, 2) imports and exports, and 3) our most scarce resource, water.
