This is a local cafe in Camberwell, Australia. It is called the 'Old Garage' and is an old warehouse transformed into a cafe. The bricks are reused but likley made in Australia, as is the corragated iron roofing and steel framing. The insulation of the building is most likly imported from overseas, and the various machinery and equipment such as boom or scissor lifts were probably imported from Europe or America. The paint is manufactured in Australia from local and imported ingredients. The outdoor furniture is likely imported, with fabrics assumed to be made in China. The internal equipment and furniture contains an italian coffee machine and IKEA furniture which is manufactured in Sweden/Europe. Therefore this simlistic building actually has a global supply chain, and whilst it is economical and sustainable to renovate an old warehouse, there are still requirements of inputs from the globalised economy.
