In Amsterdam as in most Dutch cities, bike related infrastructures such as bike parking or bike lanes are crusial for the cities since people use the bike as one of the most prefered means of transportation in their everyday life. So the city is very much dependent on the bike-related infrastructure which is constantly impoving and extending connecting more areas.
