In the picture is a very common type of window used in Brazil. This window is made of aluminium, it is easy to install and is sold on cheap prices. But Brazil don’t have the “know how” to produce the demand of Aluminium that the construction sector needs. So we import from other countries with higher prices a better aluminium, although Brazil has a great amount of bauxite, but it hasn’t the capacity of transforming it into the aluminium that is needed. So we export as a commodity with low price and after we import this bauxite as aluminium with a higher price. That impact the economy because makes the country more dependent on the importations but also there is a significant difference between the prices from exportations and importations, the profits from exportations turn into de currency that isn't enough to buy the final product in the form of aluminium to make the window.
