This is Tamma Gayathri from RGUKT university,Andhra pradesh,India. "Construction used to be a localized activity, but with the advancement of construction processes and construction materials almost every building contains components of a globalized economy". As you can see in the photograph this is just a small house.As you all know India is a developing country in the world and mine is a just small village in it.As observed,the usual reinforcing bars and concrete are the important building materials here as it is good for durability,strength and earthquake resisting buildings. In the ancient days,i agree construction is a globalized activity.But with the advancement of the construction process,every building contains components from various places on globe.India imports cement from china,even though India is the second largest country in the world to produce cement.Also the steel is imported from Republic of south Korea,followed by china and japan.The interior view of the construction is not captured but the tiles are imported from Indonesia, Srilanka and Malaysia. So,with these imports of building materials,the economy gets effected.So by use renewable resourses like bamboo,loam,straw we can have a sustainable buildings and a better future.
