My idea for a "City App" aims to improve the problem of holes in the asphalt of street and roads in my city, Milan. Given the high volume of traffic, it's not uncommon to see holes of different size and depth arising from the street surface quite often, especially in rainy periods. The app would basically function as follows: 1. The citizens spot the new holes in the roads; 2. Through the app on the smarthphone, the citizen can take a picture of the holes and associate it with their geographic coordinates position within the city; 3. The app sends this data to a dedicated portal on the municipality website; 4. The municipality gets to know quickly about the problem through an alert from the portal; 5. The government takes action as soon as possible to fix the problem by repairing the hole and preventing it to happen again.
