a)Provisioning services My area is very densely populated and buildings have taken over the agricultural areas. But, around the periphery of my area there are still large cultivable fields left for food production, raw materials and medicinal herbs. The main water source in my area is underground water made accessible through water sprouts and wells.During drought seasons water is transported from nearby water dams(from Kulekhani dam, Melamchi dam). b)Regulating services Because of over population and unmanaged urbanization in my area,pollution has been a growing problem.Vehicles and factories emit enormous amount of carbon dioxide and smoke degrading local climate and quality of air.There is no proper sewage management as sewage are let directly into the river(Bagmati river) without any treatment and purification causing water pollution. There are very few parks and and green agricultural areas left. c)Habitat or supporting services My area has taken concrete form already so other species rather than humans are some birds and pet animals.No other diverse species are found. d)Cultural services Patan being a historical area has many historic places,monuments and cultures that attract tourists and provide relaxment as well as recreation to the locals. But,sadly there ain't much green areas left expect few parks.
