1. Provisioning services: supply of certified wood from well managed and renewed forests in the prealpine areas North of Milan. 2. Regulating services: wide vegetation areas in the surrounding of urban areas to sequestrate CO2 from the air and keep air cleaner; most notable areas are the Parco di Monza in Monza (pictured) and the Parco Sempione in Milan city center. 3. Habitat of supporting services: programmes to maintain biodiversity especially amongst native and adaptive bird species in the area, both in urban areas in the more rural and natural areas of all Lombardy region. 4. Cultural services: constant update and implementation of programmes aiming at promoting local excellences in art and design, for which Milan holds a prominent position.
