1. To me, livability is a combination of several factors which make a particular place comfortable to live, work, enjoy freetime in and settle down. 2. 1. Health; 2. Neighborhood; 3. Housing; 4. Environment; 5. Transportation; 6. Opportunity; 7. Engagement. 3-5. New York City NY: 58 / 50 / -8; Boston MA: 63 / 68 / +5; San Francisco CA: 64 / 78 / +14. 6. Placing 'Health' as the more important aspect of livability, New York City fell back a few point, while both Boston and San Francisco improved their scores, especially the latter. I think this may be due to a combination of factors: the overall environmental conditions and city's structure and relationship to their suburbs may affect the result, as well as the availability of fully accessible and affordable healthcare facilities.
