The ecosystem services around my area is mostly wetlands. The wetlands provides provisioning, regulating, habitat/ supporting and cultural services. 1. Provisioning services - provides agricultural produce such as rice and fodder for cattle . 2. Regulating services - These wetlands help to reduce the heat island effect, regulate ground water depletion and regulate floods. 3. Habitat/Supporting services – It provides breeding ground to various species from indigenous to migratory. 4. Cultural services- The wetland ecosystem invites tourists into these regions. It provides recreation facilities to all.
