Due to Covid-19 pandemic in India, I am not able to take photos of construction site (Construction work is short stopped during these times), I have taken the image from internet. This is the construction site of a light railway bridge under construction in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The construction is contracted by China Railway group and the major construction material - Iron and Steel for reinforcement of concrete is imported from India. Import data of Ethiopia shows that it imports concrete from South Africa and Egypt and Iron & Steel from India as well as China and Turkey. There is massive construction boom in Addis Ababa and it is arguably one of the fastest cities in the developing world.
