I live and work in Doha, Qatar. I work in the airport and there are three possible ways to reach it from my home. Route 1 starts with 20 minutes walking to the nearest metro station between road constructions, under the heat and humid. There are families, blue collar workers, business men, travellers and it's well secured and clean. The hole trip costs 0.50€ and the ride included the line change is approximately 25 minutes. Happiness 50%. Route 2 starts with 10 minutes walking to the nearest bus station. The environment conditions are the same as the first route but the social aspect is way different. People who use the bus are mostly blue collars and might make the ride uncomfortable as it is rare for women to take public buses. The ticket is cheaper than the metro one but the total time spent in the buses and stations is more than 1 hour. Happiness 0%. Route 3 is by booking online a taxi which gonna cost approximately 6€ for 20 minutes ride. The truth is that the drivers' attitude is dangerous and incidents are often, however is the most comfortable, fast and least hectic option. Happiness 100%.
