Uploaded on 2020-07-14 by Daniele Marco Marchesin
1. Two tall buildings are visible in foreground, then a series of urban blocks made up of smaller constructions, two-three-stories tall buildings, forming a very compact neighbourhood; some temporary constructions can also be spotted, as part of the neighbourhood is under demolition. Beyond this more compact neighbourhood a few tall buildings arise and face a river, beyond which we find some very tall skyscrapers whose façades are covered in lights showing advertisements and other light effects. 2. 1st: patterns of redevelopment which each urban block is undergoing; from the photo we can see all the three stages of the redevelopment phase: A. traditional urban blocks with low-rise constructions; B. demolition sites where the traditional block is disbanded to make land clear for redevelopment; C. new blocks with high-rise buildings. 2nd: lack of sustainable and alternative devices for energy supply, buildings are not equipped with visible devices. 3. Through the use of sensors and other devices or existing environmental reports, local authorities can implement the use of environmentally friendly systems for energy supply in the area, with both economic and environmental benefits, botht for the buildings and for making public spaces in the area more livable and sustainable.
